The Morris’s Quality Bakers ‘Breaducation’ section has been developed to give children at pre-school, Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) an understanding of different types of breads, the history of bread and basic nutrition. The site has a wide variety of information with related interactive games, which are designed to support History, Science, ICT, Design & Technology and Literacy at KS1 and KS2.

Little Buns
Specifically designed for the pre-school & under 6s. Helping Morris the Bread Boy to put the different bakery products into a jigsaw picnic, will help mouse skills and improve hand-eye co-ordination.

Let’s Bake
Contains a recipe for making a loaf of bread with simple instructions for KS1/2 to follow. There is also an interactive game to let the children explore the relationship between time and temperature in baking.
This section can be used in the following areas;
KS1/2 Design and Technology - as a practical experiment
KS2 Science - understanding the relationships between temperature and time
KS2 Literacy- understand and following written instructions.

Healthy eating
Information for KS1 and KS2 children on the place of bread in a healthy, balanced diet. The game has the children build a ‘healthy’ sandwich with a sliding scale, scoring the relative healthiness of the finished sandwich.
This section can be used in the following areas;
KS1/2 Science - Nutritional values of various foods, food group comparisons.

Barmy Bakery
Takes children on an imaginary bakery tour. By clicking on any part of the diagram a pop-up window appears containing a photograph and explanation of the specific process highlighted. This section can be used in the following areas;
KS2 Science - Exploring a manufacturing process and Understanding diagrams.

History of Bread
A brief history of bread for KS2 children. Also a quiz for them to do using information they can gather from throughout the whole ‘Breaducation’ site.

Interesting facts for the children to enjoy and to remember.
